Mylor Ventures Ltd is delighted to have been part of this transaction, which saw Fishy Filaments Ltd complete its funding round from existing and new Angel Investors, including MyVAN.  The company continues to develop outstanding products recycled from the marine industry, specifically fishing nets and its 3D filament is now part of the Ultimaker accredited products.


Flexi-Hex Ltd completes Funding Round

We are delighted to have been advising Flexi-Hex Ltd on this transaction, the company was as one of the 10 businesses to receive investment from the Sky Ocean Ventures & UKRI Accelerator Investment fund.  Based at Porthleven, this round will enable this eco-packaging company to develop their plastic free packaging products.

Mylor Ventures and Capital Pilot Join Forces to Promote Early Stage Tech Investment in the South West

Mylor Ventures and Capital Pilot have agreed a strategic alliance to drive greater levels of investment in early stage technology businesses in the South West. Under the alliance Mylor’s angel network, MyVAN and Capital Pilot’s recently formed Launchpad South West will work together to connect more startups to investors focused on this region. Mylor Ventures has an active offline investment readiness and advisory business which complements the national online investment readiness and investor matching platform built by Capital Pilot and now serving approximately 1,000 startups across the country.

Mylor Ventures and Capital Pilot will work with the public and private sectors to ensure that more companies headquartered in the South West receive the support and funding they need to scale up and build the regional economy.

Touchbyte Achieve Their Funding Goal

We are delighted to announce that Touchbyte achieved their funding goal.  The company has developed market leading applications in facial recognition and are based in the Tremough Innovation Centre.  This equity capital will give Jeremy Sneller and his team the opportunity to drive growth, ‘cement’ an impressive list of corporate relationships and continue to develop their excellent technology.  Touchbyte presented at the Chambers Innovation Investment Network in October last year, and were advised by Mylor Ventures Ltd.

Ultramed closes at £330,000

Ultramed closed yesterday (5th Oct 2017) at £330,000 on Crowdcube.   This proved to be a case-book capital raise: well prepared, MyVAN Angel pump primed, and very well executed by Dr Paul Upton (CEO) and Alan Sanders (Founder).  It has also given the company many more leads and prospects, and possibly a number of strategic partners.


LiketoBe Completes Funding Round

LiketoBe, advised by Mylor Ventures Ltd, completed its funding round last week on Seedrs, raising almost £200,000.  This gives the management team the capital now required to grow this business significantly.  We would also be delighted if any friends of Mylor Ventures would register on this site, enabling them to guide those students and pupils who may benefit from their experience and knowledge.

Financial Instrument Fund For Cornwall

It is now official: Cornwall and the IoS will receive its own dedicated Financial Instruments fund – £80m to £100m, along the lines of the Midlands Engine and Northern Powerhouse.  This is excellent news; and we applaud all those who worked for its delivery.  Mylor Ventures has long held the view that this is a game changer for not only Cornwall, but the region as a whole.
